But please consult your doctor about stop smoking medication or any quit smoking aid as some medication may have side effects.

Day You Stop Smoking

- Wash your clothes so they don't smell of cigarette smoke. This will help to stop smoking because the smell can actual remind you of smoking.

- Throw away anything associated with smoking i.e. lighters, matches, cigarettes, and ashtrays. These items again will remind you of smoking and doesn't help to stop smoking.

- Keep yourself busy as much as possible in the first week. Idleness will just constantly remind you of smoking and won't be a good stop smoking treatment. Go to places where you can't smoke like a cinema.

- Make sure all your family and friends know that this is the day you have stop smoking. They will give you further support in help you to carry out yourstop smoking plan.
